Yes! We’d be delighted if you booked a staycation with us. Book direct with us for the best rates.

General information about bookings

Do I have to pay up front now for a booking?

We take a 50% non-refundable deposit on all bookings of more than two nights, with the balance now payable 7 days arrival. For bookings of one or two nights we ask for full payment at the time of booking. If new Government travel restrictions are imposed then we will be happy to move your booking to alternative dates, offer you a credit note or refund any monies paid less a £30 booking fee to cover administration costs. If you choose to cancel your booking less than 30 days prior to travelling, and there are no Government imposed travel restrictions then you will not be entitled to a refund unless we can relet the room for the entire stay.  For TT and MGP weeks full payment in advance is required. These bookings cannot be refunded unless we can re-let the rooms for the entire stay. There is a 7 night minimum stay for TT and MGP.

Terms & Conditions

BOOKINGS & DEPOSITS

Bookings can be made by phone, email or contact us forms on our website, or via Facebook and Instagram. We require a name, phone number and address. All bookings are confirmed by email. Full payment is required for 1 and 2 night stays at the time of booking. A 50% deposit is required for stays of more than 2 nights. Deposits are non refundable unless we can re-let the room for the entire stay.

PAYMENTS

Payment can be made by bank transfer, cash or cheque. Card payments are accepted but not via phone.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you have to cancel your booking you must inform us as soon as possible. If you cancel your holiday with more than 30 days in advance then we will be happy to move your booking to alternative dates, offer you a credit note (to be used within 12 months of original booking) or take a full refund less a £30 booking fee to cover administration costs.

If you cancel with less than 30 days until arrival then we will not be able to offer you a refund unless we can re-let the room for the entire stay. You will be liable for the full balance due. However if we can re-let the rooms we can offer you a refund less £30 admin cost. Cancellation requests must be sent via email.

CANCELATION POLICY re COVID 19.

In the event of travel restrictions imposed by the Government we will be happy to move your booking to alternative dates, offer you a credit note (to be used within 12 months of original booking) or take a refund less a £30 booking fee to cover administration costs. If you choose to cancel your booking, and there are no travel restrictions then you will not be entitled to a refund, but can claim a credit note up to 30 days before travelling.  

If you cancel due to having COVID or self isolating or being a close contact, unfortunately we cannot refund your booking. If there are no legal restrictions preventing you from travelling to the island then this will be treated as any other illness or cancellation and any amends may not be possible due to last minute cancellation. We always recommend customers have relevant travel insurance in place. If possible we will try to move your booking to alternate dates, but your deposit is not refundable but can be used against your new dates. Any transferred bookings will be based on the latest rates at the new booking date.

A refund will only be given if the borders are closed so you cannot travel to the Island and we cannot agree a new booking date.

TT & MGP/CLASSIC

Bookings for the TT and MGP/CLASSIC are 7 nights min. We ask for 50% at the time of booking and the balance in the January of the race year. Bookings for this period are non refundable unless we can relet the room for the entire stay.

CHECK IN / OUT

Check in is from 4pm to 8pm, earlier or later only by advance arrangement if possible with other bookings. Check out is strictly by 10:30am on the day of your departure due to the increased cleaning requirements between bookings. Bags can be stored for the day and we try to be flexible as possible to accommodate guests travel.

We are a SMOKEFREE premises.

LIABILITY

We do not accept any liability for any loss, damage, illness or injury to any guests or guests vehicles or possessions. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents.

ALLERGIES

Baie Mooar House is our home. We have one dog and two cats. They use shared areas. We are also dog friendly and have one room used for dogs. Guests with allergies should be aware of this.

BAIE MOOAR HOUSE FACILITIES

Our facilities are our home and for the exclusive use of guests staying with us. We request guests do not invite other people to our property. We do operate a pop up restaurant and may have guests attending who are not staying with us. All events finish at 11pm.

PRIVACY POLICY

Data collected during your booking is used for BAIE MOOAR purposes only in order to provide you with the best service possible. With your permission we may contact you with news/ events and offers.You can opt out at any time. We will not share your details with a third party.

COVID 19 POLICY. We want you to feel comfortable during your stay with us so here is some more info on our COVID 19 policy.

TRAVELLING TO THE ISLE OF MAN: Is travel to the Isle of Man possible due to the Covid-19 pandemic?

From 1st April 2022 you can now travel to the Isle of Man with no Covid restrictions. This means you no longer need to complete a landing form or prove your vaccination status and there is no isolation or testing.

Can you guarantee the property is clean?

Like other providers, we cannot guarantee our property is free from infection, however, we have completed a detailed risk assessment in order to protect our guests and make the environment as safe as possible. We have an strict, enhanced cleaning regime with particular attention to shared areas and touch points. We pride ourselves on our high standards. Sanitiser is provided at entry points and shared areas.
